The Spirituality mission is to provide Spiritual growth and minister to the grieving, promote healing, and encourage servant hood all in the name of Sharing God’s Grace.

Homebound Care

Tape Ministry: Members of the Spirituality Team coordinate with members of the congregation to provide our homebound members with taped services.  Tape recordings of the Sunday service are made and copied.  Homebound members receive the tapes weekly from different church members.  Couriers typically deliver to one homebound member once a month.

Home Communion:  Members of the congregation deliver communion once a month to our homebound members.

Homebound Gifts: Coordinate, compile, and deliver gifts to our homebound members at Christmas and Easter.

Prayer Life

Prayer Vigil:  The Spirituality Team organizes the Lenten prayer vigil.  This team encourages the congregation to spend a half-hour to an hour of quiet time at the Church devoted to prayer.

Friends in Prayer:  Receive e-mail prayer requests and praying at home when they are received. Prayer request forms are available on the church website or by calling the office.

“I pray that, according to the riches of His glory, He may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through His Spirit.”
                   Ephesians 3:16

Grief Care and
Support

Grace Cooks:    The Spirituality Team coordinates calling members of the congregation to provide meals for those who have just experienced the birth of a child or undergone surgery.  Meals are typically provided up to three days.  The Spirituality team member coordinates with the church staff and individual s on the list of cooks to provide the desired meals. Cooks typically serve 3-4 times per year.

Grief Care:  Cards are sent out to grieving families at the time, and on the 6 month and 1 year anniversary of the passing.  Members of the Spirituality Team sign the cards that are sent to the families grieving.

Healing

Healing Services:  The Spirituality Team assists the Pastor in providing anointing, laying on of hands, and blessing for the healing services three times per year.

Lenten Devotional:  Members of the Spirituality Team assist in providing Lenten devotionals to the congregation.

Women's Retreat: Plan and coordinate the guest speaker for the Women's Retreat. Volunteers are needed to help organize the Women's Retreat, or just relax in the spiritual
experience.
