Sewing Circle
Grace's Tuesday morning Sewing Circle meets monthly to lovingly craft quilts, lap blankets, bed pads, and other warm items. These goods are then donated through the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America to Lutheran World Relief for dispersement to refugees and people in need around the world, and also to McHenry County nursing homes to provide warmth and comfort to local eldery residents. Clean fabric and filling (new or used from old sheets, clothing, etc.) for the quilts are donated by our Grace members and are always welcome. For more information on our Sewing Circle or to donate materials, contact the church office at 815/338-0554.
Sewing Circle Update— The Sewing Circle has had another busy year! They have assembled: 90 lap robes, 35 crocheted lap robes, 107 bibs, 52 small pillows, 15 poly bags, and 112 walker bags. In addition, 53 beautiful quilts were given to Lutheran World Relief. What a terrific use of your talents!
