2008 Women's Retreat - "Living Inside Out"
Come celebrate your faith! We would like to invite all the women of Grace Lutheran Church and your friends to the 2008 Women's Retreat. Mark your calendars, Saturday, January 19th to Sunday, January 20th for a relaxing and exciting weekend at the Resurrection Center in Woodstock.
Our speaker this year is Lisa Hartman, an Executive Producer of Defining Moments, a monthly audio journal providing advanced training for church leaders. Lisa's goal is that the words and stories she shares will inspire listeners to fully engage in their God-given life-calling and celebrate their faith in Christ by "Living Inside Out"!
Below a summary that Lisa sent about the program:
"As believers, we know that out lives are supposed to reflect the presence of God in our hearts . . . love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, etc. . . But is that what people really see in us? Is that what we see in ourselves? How are our hearts truly transformed to look more like His?
We will be talking about hearing God’s voice. How do you recognize it and what do you do when you hear it? We will also discuss how we can live our lives in such a way that God can be transforming us from the inside out. How can we set ourselves up to become the women God wired us up to be? How can we experience being fully engaged in all that God has called us to do without falling prey to the pitfalls of being overextended and exhausted."

Option #1 Daytimer Registration
Early Registration Daytimer fee is $60.
After December 15th the Daytimer fee is $80.
This price includes: All day Saturday retreat activities(9:00am - 9:00pm), 2 meals and the evening worship service.
Option #2 Weekender Registration
Early Registration Weekender fee is $150.
After December 15th the Weekender fee is $170.
This price includes: Saturday 9:00 am to Sunday Noon activities, 3 meals, and a lovely room. The accommodations at the Resurrection Center offer a peaceful setting close to home. The rooms are in the new wing have double occupancy with a private bath. Check-in begins at 8:15am on Saturday and the retreat ends at Noon on Sunday.

Grace Women's Circles--Faith, Grace and Naomi--offer small group experiences for bible study, friendship, discussion and support. Each meets on a monthly basis--see the church calendar for dates, times and locations.
Faith Circle - Faith Circle is a group of women which meets at 7 p.m., the third Monday of the month in the Church Parlor. We enjoy fellowship and snacks the first hour, then have an informal Bible study the second hour. For information, call Marylee Steinwehe at 815-338-7323.
Grace Baby Shower overflows!
Thanks to all who participated in and donated to the Grace Baby Shower. The response was great and 115 layettes were taken to the McHenry County Health Department for distribution to families in need. Naomi Circle sponsors the Baby Shower.
The Sewing Circle meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 9:00 a.m. to lovingly craft quilts, lap blankes and other items to send to refugees around the world through Lutheran World Relief, and to donate to local nursing homes.
