Women's Ministries

Grace offers a variety of ministries geared just for the needs of women of all ages.

Women’s Retreat Fundraiser on Rally Day, Sunday, September 12th

We are planning a Bake Sale Fundraiser on Grace Family Picnic/Rally Day.  Please donate a pie, a cake, some cookies, muffins, cupcakes, or a loaf of homemade bread, any delicious treat to support the 2011 Women’s Retreat.  We greatly appreciate any baked goods donation you could give. You may drop off your treat Saturday, September 11th in the kitchen at the church or simply bring it with you to church on Sunday.  Please make a note if the bakery item has nuts and that it is for the Women’s Retreat Fundraiser. If you can help sell at the bakery tables, please check the sign up sheets in the narthex.

Thank you very much for your donation and support!  Happy Baking!!

Women's Retreat - The 2010 Women's Retreat on January 9th, 2009 was a great success. Our guest speaker, Dr. Norma Cook Everist, guided us through the Women of Faith Through the Life Cycle presentation. A delicious luncheon was served at the Bull Valley Golf Club. Pizza and fellowship was enjoyed after the event by many of the attendees. Thank you to all who put this event together. We look forward to next years gathering. The women's retreat is a yearly event at Grace. Women of all ages are welcome.

Grace Women's Circles--Faith, Grace and Naomi--offer small group experiences for bible study, friendship, discussion and support. Each meet

Faith Circle - Faith Circle is a group of women which meets at 7 p.m., the third Monday of the month in the Church Parlor. We enjoy fellowship and snacks the first hour, then have an informal Bible study the second hour. For information, call Marylee Steinwehe at 815-338-7323.

The Sewing Circle meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 9:00 a.m. to lovingly craft quilts, lap blankes and other items to send to refugees around the world through Lutheran World Relief, and to donate to local nursing homes. For more information about our Sewing Circle contact Marge Birk through the church office.
