Senior Lunches and Activities

Senior Luncheon:  Please come to the senior luncheon on September 28th at noon in Luther Hall and join us as we enjoy a meal of tossed salad, roast pork w/apples & onions, Hidden Valley potatoes, rolls, baby green beans, sunset salad, and  rhubarb crisp ala mode.  We will be entertained by the dancing of the Sun City Strutters.  Please sign-up in the activity binder at the welcome center by September 19th (please note that this is one week earlier).  All Grace members that are 80 and over this year will be receiving a special invitation with your free lunch ticket enclosed that you will need to bring with you.  All others will cost $5.00.

Adult Coach Bus Trip - Saturday, December 4, 9:00am - 6:00pm Cost is $80. Deadline to sign up and pay is November 1st. Join us as we head to The Fireside in Ft. Atkinson, WI for a unique double feature performance. After a full sit down dinner we will enjoy two separate acts on stage. Act One is the famous Fireside Christmas - with beautiful gowns, colorful costumes, breath taking dances and the exciting medley of beloved Christmas songs. Act Two is the world premier of the new musical The Child -the story of the first Christmas as seen through the eyes of Joseph, told to us through storytelling and song. For more information or to sign up see the Activity Binder or call Shirley Busse 815-338-9063

Senior Lunches:

Once a month luncheons on the fourth Tuesday of each month for adults age 50 and over are a favorite at Grace! Delicious food, great company and special guests and activities make for a great lunch out. Cost is $5.00. Sign up in the Activity Binder, or contact Director of Senior Ministries Shirley Busse through the church office for more information.

Our seniors enjoy many opportunities for fellowship and adventure through an eclectic array  of events and programs.  Sampling of these events are comprised of bus trips to museums and interests in Chicago and the local area as well as traveling to the House on the Rock in Wisconsin.

Need a ride to the Senior Luncheons? We now have a list of volunteers willing to bring those not able to drive themselves. Please call Ida Randolph at 338-7380 to make arrangements.
