Senior Lunches and Activities
Senior Luncheon—On Tuesday, Jan. 24, let's start the New Year off right by taking
better care of ourselves. Our skin is the envelope that protects our body, yet how much do we know about taking care of it, especially during the harsh winter months? This month we have Jackie Feret, a skin care consultant coming to advise us on how to take better care of our skin. Our cozy menu features Tossed Salad, Pasta and Sausage Bake, California Mixed Vegetables, Garlic Bread, and Apple-Berry Crumb Pie for dessert. Cost is $5.00. Please sign up in the activity binder by Jan 22.
Once a month luncheons on the fourth Tuesday of each month for adults age 50 and over are a favorite at Grace! Delicious food, great company and special guests and activities make for a great lunch out. Cost is $5.00. Sign up in the Activity Binder, or contact Director of Senior Ministries Shirley Busse through the church office for more information.
Our seniors enjoy many opportunities for fellowship and adventure through an eclectic array of events and programs. Sampling of these events are comprised of bus trips to museums and interests in Chicago and the local area as well as traveling to the House on the Rock in Wisconsin.
Need a ride to the Senior Luncheons? We now have a list of volunteers willing to bring those not able to drive themselves. Please call Ida Randolph at 338-7380 to make arrangements.
