Next Sunday, May 16th we are cleaning Kishwaukee Valley Road so dress accordingly and bring gloves. NO SANDALS!
End of Year Party for Grace High School Youth will be Wednesday, June 2nd at the home of Michael Hansing on Park Lane. We will begin anytime after 3 and eat by 5. Bring your lawn chairs and any outside games you wish. Freshman need to bring chips and fruit, sophomores chips and veggies, juniors a drink and desserts. Anyone needing a ride to WHS or WNHS for the 8th grade promotion ceremonies should know that we will have transportation available.
May 30th all high school seniors are asked to attend the 8:30 worship service where they will be recognized by the congregation. Immediately following communion please head to the narthex for a picture. There will be a cake and punch reception between services.
Other Youth Activities
The High School Youth are embarking on a challenge to live life without complaints. It seems that we spend so much time saying things like “I’m so busy or I’m so tired” which all may be true but tend to put our focus on the negative side of life rather than the positive. We complain but don’t desire to be a part of the change process or we complain about things we have little control over. We encourage you to check out our bulletin board and search your own hearts and bibles for ways you can also become complaint free!
Who are Grace Youth Group?
The Grace High School Youth Group is a strong, active and growing collection of youth that brings many diverse interests, gifts and talents to the group as a whole. To further capitalize on the tremendous potential within our youth group, monthly events, activities, projects, periodic retreats and trips are continuously planned and implemented. We look forward to our annual summer trips, monthly events, lock-ins, service opportunities and fundraising activities.
The high school youth also meets every Sunday morning during the school year at Youth Forum for discussions and topics relating to issues, concerns and interests of our group. During this meeting time, the group often participates in activities and assists with the shaping of future youth events.
Join us on Sundays during the school year at 9:45 in the parlor for Youth Forum, a time to talk about real life issues facing youth and the world today. Sometimes we meet at Java Junction at the Woodstock Train Station, so check with Youth Directors Deb and Jay Fuller for our schedule.
